More bang for the buck

Producing videos are not easy. They are time consuming and require a lot of planning and effort. However, when done correctly they can be immensely powerful. If you’re making a video for social it’s a good idea to think about all the networks you can leverage, such as a full length video for YouTube & Facebook, with shorter edits for Vine, Instagram or even animated GIFs.

Facebook’s Newsfeed loves video, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. In fact, it’s going to increase. Facebook knows engagement on video is huge, especially in the mobile arena, and the more video it can show you, the more you’ll use it.

A bigger question to ponder, as marketers, is why would not you post videos to Facebook? Since videos have higher engagement than any other medium, and you’re producing them anyways, it isn’t any more effort than posting to YouTube. This begs the questions, what’s to lose? And if you’re audience is on Facebook, you should be posting and having them share your content for you.

Facebook is serving up 3 billion videos everyday.

According to Re-Code, Facebook is serving up 3 billion videos everyday! 3,000,000,000 – That’s a huge number of people watching video each day. And a fraction of a percent means a successful campaign and potentially great ROI for your company. What’s more is that Facebook says video views has tripled in just 4 months. Do you see the trend here?

Facebook has advanced and very sophisticated algorithms to show you what’s popular in your newsfeed. When Facebook decides video is a priority it’s going to put more weight and make sure that more videos appear in your newsfeed. Thus, when you post videos to Facebook, you already have a winning chance of getting more customers to see your content.
