World renowned surf filmmaker Jack McCoy was approached by former Beatle Paul McCartney to shoot and edit a music video for his song Blue Sway, which was written and recorded some 20 years prior. McCoy, whom while producing his latest film A Deeper Shade of Blue had been shooting using a high-powered underwater jet ski so he could track waves beneath the surface, had created an edit to one of McCartney’s songs. A mutual friend saw the footage and McCartney was immediately blown away and thought McCoy would be the perfect one to do a music video for Blue Sway. Most recently, the piece was awarded Best Music Video at NYC BE Film short festival in May.
